This is a life size reconstruction of the head of Tupandactylus imperator (formerly known as Tapejara imperator), a Tapejarid pterosaur from the Araripe Basin, northeast of Brazil.

Constructed between January and March, 2004, with epoxy resin and polyurethane, the model is approximately 90 cm tall. This reconstruction was based on the original materials of the type specimen, deposited on the Museu de Ciencias da Terra/DNPM and the Museu Nacional, both in the Rio de Janeiro. As the fossil was preserved flattened on a slab of rock, the 3D anatomy was based on a replica of the skull of Tapejara wellnhoferi.
