The life size reconstruction of the head of this pterosaur from the Cretaceous Liaoning deposits of China was constructed with epoxy resin, polyurethane and a special sewing line.
This sculpture was fixed on a painting mural made by Maurilio S. Oliveira together with the head of the pterosaur Feilongus youngi (also sculpted by Maurilio). This composition was presented at the Museu Nacional of Rio de Janeiro in 2005 when the paper describing these species was published on Nature Magazine.
