I was born in Santa Catarina, Brazil, in May 10, 1981. Now I live in Rio de Janeiro and work in the Paleovertebrate Sector of the Museu Nacional (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro; MN/UFRJ). Here I develop research projects and works for exhibitions (paleoarts and graphic arts). I also work on web design and other graphic arts.
I have graduated in Biological Sciences at the UFRJ. In 2007 I concluded the Post-Graduation in Zoology at the Museu Nacional with a project related to myology, biomechanics and locomotion of basal saurischian dinosaurs using virtual 3D models (learn more on my research page).
I sculpt since 1993 and draw since 1995. The most important influence for my works is Gregory S. Paul. Following the proposals of Mr. Paul’s books, I prize for scientific accuracy over all other things (read "The science behind my artwork" to know more about this). Other important artists that influenced my art since the beginning of my career are Raul Martin, Michael Skrepnick, Jim Robins and John Sibbick.
